Mornington Peninsula Aquafest Promotes Sailing

A story close to home, well my own home. I learnt to sail on the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, so I am happy to promote Peninsula AquaFest!

12,000 people are expected to visit Martha Cove on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January 2009 to celebrate the Peninsula’s unique marine lifestyle.

AquaFest Regatta at Safety Beach is a two day calendar of racing for the entire family. Whether you are the skipper of an off-the-beach boat or a sleek, racing keel yacht, there is an opportunity for you to win kudos and cash prizes while making new friends and creating memories of a great weekend of sailing on the Mornington Peninsula.

Without doubt, Go Sailing is the most popular activity at Peninsula AquaFest. For a small donation to the Mornington Peninsula Sailability Program, you can skipper your own Access dinghy around Martha Cove Harbour. Sailability is a unique program that enables people of all abilities to enjoy sailing. The Access dinghy is easily sailed by novices.

Plus many more activities…
