K-Challenge have announced a new sponsor. Gaastra Pro Gear will supply the team clothing for the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series as well as brand new technical gear for training.
Marc Blees, Managing Director Gaastra Pro Gear said that along with the Olympics, the Americas Cup was an event recognised around the world, adding:
“In my Olympic Finn, and later Star period I met a lot of friends who are now on one of the America’s Cup syndicates. It’s a privilege to meet them again, but now, they as sailor, we as sponsor.”
In yet another show of the logic applied to Motorsport, of racing delivering faster innovation Blees said
“Gaastra Pro Gear is very performance driven because we want to have the best for our sailors. We are developing every day in fabrics, laminations and constructions, like a sail maker, and always sailors can give input to us. We are looking forward to a successful partnership and that the America’s Cup will stay in Europe. Good Luck.”
Stephane Kandler, K-Challenge’s CEO:
We are very proud to welcome Gaastra Pro Gear in the team, and our team will now wear their clothing range. We thank them a lot for their support, as they are joining others that already gave us their trust: Canal+, Saint-Honoré, Dassault Sytèmes, Château Tourril, CD-Adapco, Oxalya, Frienship Consulting, and the French Sailing Federation.
