It’s been a busy month or so. We’ve had the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series, busy stages in the Volvo Ocean Race, the podium of the Vendee Globe being decided in the last few weeks. PR companies have been busy focussing on the live stuff. Even though we have over 150 companies, teams, journalists, suppliers and sponsors who have already sent in their details, we can be flexible.
With times tough for the marine industry, the project is designed to provide exposure for competitors and suppliers alike. Want to know where to get a TP52 built? Want to know how to start an iShares Cup team? Want to know who the key players in the America’s Cup are? The DARK BLUE BOOK will provide a single source.
Cam Lewis, a past winner of the Americas Cup and the Jules Verne Trophy says:
The Dark Blue Book is a fantastic idea and will be an incredible resource for all who sail, race and work or want to get involved in the marine industry!
James Pleasance, Event Director of the World Yacht Racing Forum says that the book is:
A useful contact resource for the yacht racing industry.
Entries for organisation listings close on Sunday 22nd February, but companies can list their people individually until the 1st of March. David Fuller, CEO of Pilote Media, the books publishers says:
This is less about the Yellow Pages and more like a yearbook. We want people to be able to put faces to names. So rather than listing the organisation with a logo, we would rather organisations list their Marketing Director or CEO or both. This is also a great way for PR organisations to get a little more exposure for their clients.
Some advertising is also still available in the directory.
