“We saw last year what a fantastic, enthusiastic occasion WOKC is. Dubarry has huge belief in this event as it is both competitive and extremely fun. We know that the women involved all want to see excellent quality prizes and that is exactly what we can provide”.
Coffin Mew, one of the region’s largetst law firms, with strong links to the marine industry. The company will provide the overall championship prizes.
Sally Pike, head of the firm’s specialist marine legal team, competed in WOKC 2008:
“Having taken part last year I know how much all the entrants enjoyed the close, competitive racing and the unique camaraderie between sailors both on and off the water. Coffin Mew has strong links with the marine industry and it was great to race with and against some of our clients”
Event organiser Stephanie Danby said
“Dubarry and Coffin Mew worked so well as a team with us last year – it’s fantastic to move forward with both companies now as the event grows. There is interest in the event this year from USA to Switzerland and many 2008 WOKC competitors are spreading the word. From regular all female crews to “new to sailing” training boats, to men who are buying tickets for the Saturday “frocks and flip-flops” party, this event has really filled a space in the Solent racing calendar.”
