The 2009 PSP Southampton Boat Show will showcase the best the industry has to offer from sailing yachts to glamourous motor cruisers, from RIBS to runabouts. In a year when UK sailing talent is showing the world that Britain is still a maritime force, the event will be opened by some pop-star.
The show’s organisers are trying every gimmick under the sun to try and get people interested this year’s event so they have found Sophie Ellis-Bextor to officially kick off the 10-day “marine extravaganza” featuring the best of boating, watersports and lifestyle on the 11th of September.
Andrew Williams, managing director of National Boat Shows (NBS), said:
