Ancasta Appoint New COO – Richard Caland. 3

Ancasta has jumped on the Twitter bandwagon. At least that is what their website tells us. We were looking at the website to try and find some news about the appointment of Richard Acland as Chief Operating Officer, but came across the following story

The ‘Ancasta Group’ is excited to announce that it has recently made a move into the realm of Twitter.

Ancasta will use Twitter as a platform to further connect with boat enthusiasts and clients. If you’re currently on Twitter why not follow the ‘Ancasta Group’ to give you sneak previews of new models and events coming soon…

Thing is, there is no link to the Twitter account from the story, so we had to go digging for it. For those who want to join the 26 others following Ancasta Group, you can find their feed at http://twitter.com/Ancasta_Group

Anyway, we couldn’t find news about Richard Acland’s appointment on the website, but here’s what has been reported in other sources.

Richard Acland, former managing director of B&G, has been appointed chief operating officer at Ancasta’s UK headquarters in Hamble, Southampton. In his new role, Acland will contribute to the board’s commercial skill set and offer operational expertise to facilitate the strategic development of the group’s activities.

It sounds like they need a professional communications consultant on the case to handle the updating of their social and web media resources.
