Kieler Woche proudly presents its new premium partner for one of the largest sailing regattas in the world.
Veolia Umweltservice GmbH – a subsidiary company of Veolia Environnement has a long standing association with sailing and it is a good fit with the company’s brand. The company’s partnership with Roland Jourdain and his IMOCA 60 campaigns are collected together at a purpose built website which is a great example of how sailing can be used to activate sponsorship to communicate a wider message.
Veolia CEO Dr. Thorsten Grenz, a true Kieler Woche fan and active sailor himself was already involved in Kieler Woche six years ago with a former sponsoring partnership.
“As the world leader in environmental services we are fascinated by the thought of competitive sailing where strategic planning and perfect teamwork on the water come together” comments Grenz, who explained his late commitment to the event with the current economic situation. “A year ago it was not possible to realise this step. Today, now that the company is in the black they were able to put it into effect.”
Kieler Woche, or Kiel Week is also the sixth regatta of the ISAF Sailing World Cup which showcases Olympic class racing throughout the year.
