Audi have been partners of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week for 3 years, and in April the company announced that they would continue their sponsorship of the Queensland event for another 3 years. As part of the deal, all competing teams will be eligible to win a new Audi A5 2.0 TFSI Sportback, valued at more than $AUD 80,000 on the road.

The ‘leveller’ to decide the actual recipient will be the Audi ‘Final Challenge’, which will be staged on Hamilton Island’s airport on the Lay Day, Tuesday 24 August 2010.
Audi will showcase the very latest products on the island for Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, including the company’s brand new Audi A8 luxury limousine which will make its national debut at Australia’s premiere sailing regatta.
Anna Burgdorf, General Manager of Corporate Communications at Audi Australia, stated,
“Our sponsorship of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week is one of the key events in our national sailing sponsorship program. It is the jewel in the crown of our annual program for customers and guests who attend the event, and importantly it is also the final race in our prestigious four-part Audi IRC Australian Championship series. The competition and carnival atmosphere of the regatta makes this a special event on which to conclude the championship. We take our sponsorship of the event very seriously – awarding a brand new Audi vehicle to the winning team of the week’s racing.”
