The clothing and apparel market is big business in sailing. For a long time, several larger players have had good brand recognition and managed to stay ahead, but a couple have expanded into other sectors and developed more generic product lines, creating opportunities for new players like PUMA. Apparel companies that have success in smaller markets are also looking to become international. As the only annual global sailing series, the World Match Racing Tour is the perfect platform for a company to showcase it’s wares to a truly international audience.
