Sponsorship of the marine industry needn’t be all about racing. Boat transportation company PSP has sponsored the Southampton Boat Show for the last three years and Managing Director, Frank Dixie believes the benefits were substantial enough to warrant an extension of the deal for another 2 years.
The deal keeps PSP as the title sponsor of the show.
“I weighed our high investment against the undoubted fact that being title sponsor for the last three years has helped to make the PSP name synonymous with worldwide boat transportation. Our sponsorship has led to a hard but fruitful three years, during which we have established the PSP Worldwide Alliance, bought our headquarters in Fareham outright and handled logistics for the likes of Clipper Round the World, ISAF, Sunseeker, Fairline and Princess.
“If this is what we can achieve in three years of sponsorship, I can’t wait to see what we have achieved in 2012 after five years.”
Paul Strzelecki, Chairman of National Boat Shows, said:
“We are delighted to be working together with PSP for a further two years as title sponsor of the PSP Southampton Boat Show. PSP has been a major partner for the last three years, supporting both the Show and the industry, and we are now planning how we can develop this great partnership further to maximise the investment for them, our members and exhibitors. This sponsorship is fantastic news for the Show, the British Marine Federation, its members and the marine industry as a whole, particularly when times are still challenging. This, together with Tullett Prebon’s sponsorship of the London International Boat Show, demonstrates the success of the Shows and underlines how businesses recognise the value and impact of the opportunities provided by these high-profile events.”
